Red Baron Arcade has been announced by Sierra Online for release on the PlayStation Network on September 18th! It will also be coming to the PC.

The game is a remake of the original Red Baron 1990 flight-sim by developer Stainless Studios and seeks to bring some World War II shooting action (more arcade then sim apparently) to the PS3 download service.

The game features 36 missions, 20 airplanes and up to eight-player online multiplayer play. Here is the official trailer for the game.

The features list includes:

* Infamous enemy aces in fast paced, arcade-style, dog-fighting action

* In-game and web leaderboards and player statistics

* 14 highly detailed models of classic WWI aircraft for you to customize

* 24 challenging single-player arcade play missions

* 4 exciting multiplayer modes including deathmatch, team deathmatch and capture the flag
