Blizzard has released the opening cinematic movie scene for World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King, the all-new WOW expansion that is scheduled for release sometime this year.
It’s been five years since gamers have gotten a chance to take down the Lich King, who hasn’t been seen since the release of WarCraft 3: The Frozen Throne. So naturally giving gamers the chance to take on the Lich King himself has MMO players dying with excitement.
The all-new intro cinematic sets the scene with a voiceover from the slain King Terenas of Lordaeron, who was killed by his son and future Lich King Arthas all the way back in the first WarCraft 3 campaign.
As you will see, the shot of the Frost Wyrm flying over the assembled Undead hordes in Northrend as the Lich King looked on is enough to get any WOW fan completely pumped up and looking forward to finally settling accounts with Arthas.
And here is the opening for World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King.
