Frontier Developments founder David Braben has confirmed that Elite 4, the sequel to the famed space game will be released after the studio’s political adventure game The Outsider comes out in 2009. They are currently also finalizing the technology that will power Elite 4.
Elite co-creator David Braben pointed out that Elite 4 “had not been forgotten”, but that it had a stop-start production as Frontier keeps testing technology and then rejecting it. Mr. Braben described Elite 4 as a “really amibitious project” but confirmed there was a team actively working on it in order to get it right. — Via Develop
