Halo 3 Heroic map pack free starting today. Next Legendary map pack out on April 15th

Halo 3 for Xbox 360The Halo 3 Heroic Map Pack, released last year December at a price of 800 Microsoft Points on Xbox Live, can from today be downloaded for FREE off the Marketplace!

Now you can own some noobz in Standoff, Rat’s Nest, Foundry and in the Heroic Map Pack for free courtesy of Bungie.

Coming on April 15th is the second selection of new maps, titled the Halo 3 Legendary Map Pack, priced at 800 Microsoft Points (that’s US$10 / €9.60 / £6.80 / CAN$12.40 / AU$13.20).

Get a slideshow sneak peek at two of the three new maps to be introduced - Ghost Town, Avalanche, and one map yet to be revealed*.

* Bungie just announced that the last Halo 3 Legendary map is Blackout, a remake of Halo 2’s Lockout.
