Activision and developer Raven have teamed up to develop their follow-up to their very successful previous games, X-Men: Legends and X-Men: Legends II, with a new game that will extensively cover the entire Marvel universe. That game is Marvel: Ultimate Alliance. Using the same basic engine and a lot of the same mechanics as the X-Men: Legends titles, Marvel: UA is a brand-new game and is not connected to the X-Men: Legends titles, thus the new name lacking a “Legends” monicker.
Details on the game are as follows:
- It will be an action RPG as the X-Men games before it, but focused more on action.
- Marvel: Ultimate Alliance will feature more than 20 playable characters, including Wolverine, Spider-Man, Captain America, Blade, The Thing, Wolverine, Ghost Rider, Thor, Dr. Strange. Activision is promising that when the game is finished, more than 140 Marvel characters will appear in some form.
- Customizability appears to be a theme for the game, as players will be able to create their own team name and vehicle, level up characters individually or as a group, and go into a fight bare-fisted or wielding improvised weapons plucked from the environment.
- Activision is promising player interaction in the story, where each gamer’s team has its own reputation, and the missions accepted, the objectives completed, and the player’s interactions with characters all have a hand in the story’s path and outcome.
- Ultimate Alliance will feature online and offline multiplayer cooperative modes, as well as a competitive mode that tracks each player’s statistics and distributes experience and equipment points based on those numbers.
- Activision enlisted Uncanny X-Men scribe Chris Claremont to help write its upcoming X-Men: The Official Game along with Zak Penn, screenwriter for X2 and this summer’s X-Men: The Last Stand, and now the publisher is again turning to talent from the source material for help. For Ultimate Alliance, Marvel Mangaverse writer C.B. Cebulski will lend his expertise to developer Raven Software.
- Activision has announced Ultimate Alliance for the Wii, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Xbox, PlayStation 2, PSP, Game Boy Advance, and PC. The game is set for a fall release.

Storm(3 comments)
Very disappointed to see the same moves and attacks again from both X-men Legends.
Also, I never liked the way she flies, I prefer her in the ground than watching her flying like that, I liked the way she flies in Marvel Nemesis(way it suppose to).
And finally, Storm’s skins. In every game Storm in, the creators never make her costumes with a cape. In the game she has a Classic,80’s, 90’s and Ultimate Costume, I know for sure the Classic and 90’s costumes has a cape because those two costumes are from the comics and tv shows. Knowing this is an all Marvel Character game I thought they would finally make Storm correctly.

How can I lower the force field when I enter the Crew Quarters. I defeat the enemies behind the force field but i can’t figure out a way to get into the room to lower the force field. Any hints?
